FREE Legal Resources

I think that pro bono legal aid is perhaps more difficult to find than almost anything else in this country, except perhaps, FREE medical care.

But here are six resources where you can find FREE legal aid and assistance.

It’s tricky, because each state has its own laws.

But these organizations can help guide you to the resources available in your area.  (The other option is to Google your local Legal Aid office.)

The fear, the anxiety, the anticipation of another seizure.

Coupled with the dread that you won’t be able to tell. When it’s coming. IF it’s coming.

The triggers, the reasons, the causes.

Peace of mind is difficult to come by for — you and for your loved ones.

It’s worry all the time. Every day. Does it always have to be this way?

New research has identified a possible link between gut health and brain function.

It starts in the playground.  A kid has a seizure and everybody freaks out.

Nobody knows what to do.  Maybe not even the school nurse.

Even though epilepsy first aid is a cinch.

It’s frightening to see a child seize and then, based on that fright, they think:

“I can’t deal with this.”

Gratitude is the Attitude…

Sometimes, I get into a funk so bad that it’s like a black hole.

Until I remember the safety ladder that I always carry in my pocket.

I think of at least five things I’m grateful for.

Or if I’m down there awhile, I stretch it to ten.

Here are the top five on my gratitude list:

This is a story about life’s hard knocks. Literally.

It’s the story of former NFL Browns running back Jerome Harrison and how his occasional seizures, thought to be a result of concussions from the game, saved his life.

The world is going cannabis crazy.

Canada is set to legalize recreational use of marijuana on Oct. 17.

And spending on recreational pot will surge to $32 billion globally by 2022 — triple its current size — U.S. Research firms Arcview Market Research and BDS Analytics say.

At least three Canadian pot companies have stock market values of more than $10 billion each.

And new companies are popping up by the day.

Yup. It’s turned into an investor’s market.

Coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

If You DON’T Have Epilepsy, Then WHAT Is It???

You might call them “imitators” of epilepsy, but that’s kind of extreme. You might say “similar” or you might say “confused”, which I think they are.

In a previous article titled “Conditions Commonly Misdiagnosed as Epilepsy”,  I thought I had it all covered.

But, believe it or not, that was just the tip of the iceberg.

I dug deeper and researched further and here is what I learned about signs and signals which might cause epilepsy, might show the same symptoms of epilepsy, or might be masquerading in their own way as epilepsy…
