How were YOU first diagnosed with epilepsy?

I almost drowned in the shower.

It had three round shower heads on the wall with one more huge one overhead. And a heavy plate-glass door that was like trying to get out of a vault!

All of a sudden, I felt the blood rush through my toes (that’s what it felt like) and I knew I had to get out. Or drown.

Her first job as a copywriter was writing informational materials for a children’s hospital. Including a brochure about seizures.

But nothing would prepare her for this…

It was a normal day at the ice rink.

My friend and I were speed skating.

Then we started to tease her younger brother.

He simply retaliated by sticking out his foot and tripping us.

Into the boards I went. Head first.
