IMPORTANT! Rally for Medical Research! | September 10, 2013

Urge Your Representatives to Increase Medical Research Funding!

An estimated 20 to 30 percent of those living with epilepsy have uncontrolled or intractable seizures, and many others live with significant side effects due to their medication regimen.

In order to work towards better seizure control for the epilepsy community we need to increase federal funding for medical research.

Medical research is instrumental for developing new epilepsy treatments and working towards finding a cure.

NIH funding is in danger and without support its ability to fund important and life-saving research for epilepsy could be delayed.

We cannot afford to reduce medical research funding when there are so many people living with uncontrolled or intractable seizures.

The Epilepsy Foundation is joining in the “Rally for Medical Research” Hill Day on September 18th.

We encourage you to join us on September 18th by contacting your Senators and Representative.

Please join the Epilepsy Foundation in calling for increased medical research funding by tweeting your Representatives using the hashtag #RallyMedRes, or reaching out to them on Facebook on September 18th.

  3. I put it on Facebook, together with a petition NOT to cut food stamps. At least, that should get someone’s attention. (I hope.)
