Trump Rx — Lower Prescription Drug Prices? | September 30, 2025
The Trump administration will launch a website allowing consumers to buy prescription drugs directly rather than through insurance, press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Tuesday.
Leavitt said on X that the White House will also announce Pfizer will reduce prices on several medications in the United States.
The announcements come after Trump’s deadline for drug companies to lower prices for Americans expired Monday.
Some pharmaceutical trade groups said they are investing in U.S. manufacturing and addressing causes of high costs, though it is unclear if those steps meet Trump’s demands.

Like most of America who is uneducated about epilepsy, he likely personally doesn’t know enough about epilepsy unless some friend or relative has it. That’s not his fault.
We should ask Epilepsy organizations that seek donations if they will now get involved with what the President has accomplished. These organizations should have the muscle to monitor the program’s progress, success, ask questions, and get answers as to why or why not.

I’m with you Roy! But unfortunately many Foundation offices are under supreme duress, although most have advocacy and education programs in place.
If you go to the main mother ship, you’ll see all kinds of conversations and call to action for different pro-active legislation.
As you know, no one can see epilepsy and frankly nobody cares. It’s an orphan disease.
So I guess it’s up to us, one person at a time, to educate and advocate just what epilepsy is and what it does to people.
