Stimulus Cash Payments May Take Up To 20 Weeks To Reach Some Americans | April 3, 2020

People who do not have direct deposit information on file with the Internal Revenue Service may have to wait up to 20 weeks to receive cash payments included in the $2 trillion coronavirus relief legislation, according to a memo drafted by House Democrats.

This time frame is longer than the estimate that Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin gave when he negotiated the program for cash payments with congressional leaders.

He acknowledged it would take more time for those who didn’t have addresses on file but suggested on Sunday that he expected payments to go out by mid-April.

  1. How’s for the same IRS that requires citizens & businesses to file their annual income tax forms by certain day (April 15) or face late filing penalty does NOT see the immediate urgency & have definite calendar day to disperse desperately needed economic aid to the general public languishing & dying from corona virus pandemic crisis?
It’s sad to say but the corona virus pandemic crisis spreading like wildfire all over the nation, most people who desperately need the economic aid will most likely die before the IRS comes to their rescue, saving a whole lot of money for the oligarchy to gamble in the next election circus.
    So much for public service!

  2. Happily the IRS income filing has been postponed until June 15th.

But I agree. The $1,200 does little for people who can’t eat or pay their rent.

There’s one kind soul in Brooklyn who has declared “rent forgiveness” for his tenants.

A saint among slobs, greedy and uncaring people.

But the Democrats are trying to cook up a second package.

I wonder what will happen to that.

And I wonder (and fear) what will happen in the November elections.

    • Considering the deadly speed of the corona virus pandemic destroying family resources & lives all over the country, what’s holding the IRS from immediately realising & dispersing the economic aid & rescue the families who are being forced to pay the costly price to the fatal uncontrolled pandemic & wanton negligence of the hierarchy?
Does the oligarchy expect the public resilience & patience to last for too long, before turning in to public riots?
How many more people need to end up losing their last shelter for corona virus triggered economic & health crisis, before the IRS starts “serving & protecting the public” in the name of public service?
Has the oligarchy missed that the corona virus crises may end up wiping out the political aspirations of the hierarchy?
If the Brooklyn landlord has the heart, mind, soul & wisdom to understand the hardships of corona virus crises & declare “rent forgiveness” to help his tenants, how did the politicians who got elected & swore to “protect & serve” the public failed to do so?
I’m definitely sure to say America respects, admires & needs the Brooklyn hero more than all the politicians combined.
      CHEERS TO THE BROOKLYN HERO!

  3. The powers that be have the presence but not the “presence” of mind to help those below them.

He who has the most power lives. For the rest of us, it’s like “Russian” roulette. (All puns intended.)

    • You would think the scripts posted on the statue of Mrs. Liberty,,, “Give me the downtrodden huddled masses waiting to breath free” would have fundamental meaning for all citizens to respect, cherish, treasure & honor, especially during these difficult times.
It sad to see the promised land turn into deprivation island.
May God save us from our misguided unholy ambitions.

  4. They were words from a different era. One of a caring community of a country.

Who gives to the “the tired and poor” now? Find them, and let me know.

(Aside from our own funded charities.)

    • I guess I’m just stuck in the ancient ideals of a nation, coming to the rescue of human race in desperate need.
I’m sorry to have faith in a generation far removed from it’s original foundations.
Little did the oligarchy know that history has proved many times over & over again, empires come & go, dissolving like a mist in to thin air, while human race will continue to overcome formidable odds & strive to make a better world.

      • Yes, the Roman Empire should be a valuable lesson.

(Arthur is doing research on it for his next screen play.)
