Traumatic and Post Traumatic Stress — Online Support Groups | April 19, 2014

It’s incredible. When I researched resources for Traumatic Stress and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, there weren’t many.

An embarrassing shortage, considering the magnitude of need.

That’s the sad news.

The good news is that I found loads of all kinds of different stress disorder support groups online.

This is just a small sampling of different Traumatic Stress and Post Traumatic Stress support groups.

To find more, simply type in your subject and look for forums or support groups.

    • I do know that there will be some after a seizure, but THAT’S what I don’t know.

      • Well there’s all the additional damage that’s also possible.

Which is what makes PTSD so nasty.

Seizures are bad enough. Add on to it the possibility of depression, anxiety, sleeplessness and confusion and you’ve got a lot to deal with.

  6. This is what NYU Epilepsy Center says: (I consider them the best of the best)

    Do seizures cause brain damage?

Single brief seizures do not cause brain damage. Although tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, lasting longer than 20 minutes may injure the brain, there is no evidence that shorter seizures, lasting less than 20 minutes, cause permanent injury to the brain.
