Three Things You Need To Know About The New Obamacare Rules | November 26, 2012
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have outlined the new proposed rules which instruct insurers, providers, and government institutions on how they must proceed in implementing Obamacare measures — ranging from a ban on discriminating against Americans with pre-existing medical conditions to public wellness initiatives such as coverage for employees’ gym use. Hi Phylis,
That sounds like a good part of his plan.
I have heard on the news that there are going to be severe cuts to Medicare in January 2013 if Congress does not pass his bill.
Man does not have the solution to mankind’s problems, even if their intentions are good.

Congress isn’t well balanced right now in terms of republicans, democrats, conservatives, and moderates right now, so it’s going to be a real struggle.
Then, throw in each state’s representative and you have a real mess.
We can only HOPE this will become a bi-partisan effort.

I received a letter from my Insurance Company in CA.
With my Insurance Company, I can only go to a pharmacy that Medicare approves. If I go to an out-of network pharmacy, I have to pay full price.
I have to show the letter I got today each time that I go to my pharmacy until I get a separate card from my Insurance Company.
I will be going to see my pharmacist tomorrow to see what he says.

Like most legislation, the Affordable Care Act is well intentioned. While it has good elements, it contains hundreds of elements and soon to be new administrative rules with unintended consequences. One component of teh act will dismantle the triple “A” national network of successful aging and disabilities care centers. The Act’s 2,700 pages are too extreme for the amount of change and new stresses on an unprepared health care system; and our country is already cash strapped. Regulations for sensible coverage protections are fine, but government healthcare is not the answer…ask Canadians.

Mmmmm. Well, that’s a good point Tom. My friend’s Canadian mother comes HERE whenever she has a serious medical problem.
Of course, she can afford it.
But then, I have friends who have critical chronic conditions and when they’re in the damned donut hole, it’s literaly a matter of food or meds.

I will obey the new laws and rules that the government hands down. Unless they interfere with Jehovah’s laws.
Jehovah’s laws come first but we are told to obey the government that is now ruling.

Luckily through my Job, i pay like 20 dollars for my medical. The company pays 140 on top of my 20 dollars. 160 dollars a month sounds reasonable. But when I went to the website of my HMO provider Kaiser, to see how much i would have to pay if i get laid off, it’s like 500+ dollars a month. Now that is outrageous. Basically i can’t afford not to work at those rates.

People joke, but it’s true. The first thing anyone says when another person gets a job is: “You’ve got health benefits!”
That’s the sole reason why some people work.
If you knew how much Arthur and I paid as independents, you’d swoon!

I sure hope so. Especially for the unemployed and uninsured people who are on SSI and Medicaid.
They’re in a terrible spot (Food or meds?) and they’ve got a lot of hopes that this will become a reality. Because right now, they live in poverty and misery.
As if having epilepsy wasn’t enough!

Right now, we do not know what is exactly in the law. We do know that Obama will not sign the bill unless the rich are taxed.
It is a real possibilty that the government will go over the fiscal cliff this time.

Ruth, the problem with Taxing the Rich and corporations is that they just pass the buck down to the people below them, there employees. That is not a solution, i know first hand, the place were i work for has stopped paying me for on call standby time. Which was a nice chunk of change. So I know first hand that taxing rich and companys is not a good solution. It’s screwed up that our Government got into this mess in the first place. Like i always say, if government was a corporation, it would of failed a long time ago. I for one do not spend more then i have, unless if it’s a loan for something that is really needed badly. Why can’t the gov do the same?
